Chinese Army Receives Armored Killing Machine



With Christmas already becoming a distant memory, it’s time for the Chinese army to get back to business.Based on the Dongfeng EQ2050 (which also looks suspiciously like a Hummer), they have recently taken delivery of a 4×4 armored vehicle designed for hit-and-run fast attacks with a big turret on the roof to house a rocket-propelled grenade launcher or meaty machine gun. Currently a Chinese soldier is poking out where by all rights an awesome weapon should be fitted.

Japan set to enter military equipment exports market



Japan has relaxed its self-imposed decades-old ban on military equipment exports in a move that will open up new markets to its defence contractors and help it squeeze more out of its defence budget. The rule adopted in 1967 banned sales to communist countries, and those involved in international conflicts or subject to United Nations sanctions.

TechSolve wins $4.25M defense contract



Bond Hill-based TechSolve has won a $4.25 million Air Force contract to develop technology that could revolutionize the way complex composite parts are made for jet engines and other sophisticated equipment. The award, through the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, is to develop machining technology to improve the process of making engine parts for the Air Force F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. If successful, it could lead to lower cost and better efficiency in making all sorts of parts for military and commercial use.
