BAE to Provide Friend or Foe Identification Technology for Three Countries



BAE Systems IESI, Greenlawn, New York, is being awarded a $13,480,910 firm-fixed-price contract to procure common (identification friend or foe) digital transponder (CXP) hardware. This contract combines purchases for the U.S.

Hi-tech binoculars to spot fires



THE Country Fire Service will have a new weapon in the fight against bushfires this summer. BAE Systems have donated a $65,000 pair of high-tech binoculars, capable of pin-pointing the location of a fire. As with normal binoculars, CFS spotters home in on a blaze. But now, with the push of a button, the binoculars detect the fire and send the GPS co-ordinates or street address to a tablet PC to be relayed to ground crews.

BAE Systems to develop virtual command centers



Military commanders at locations around the globe would be able to meet in a virtual command center as a result of new technology being developed through a partnership between BAE Systems and Daden.
