Alion gets award for Navy warfare systems assistance

Alion Science and Technology Corp. has won a five-year, $200 million delivery order to provide professional support services to the Navy Program Executive Office – Integrated Warfare Systems.

Awarded under the NAVSEA SeaPort Enhanced contract, Alion will perform project management, financial management, foreign military sales services, acquisition management and configuration management for the Navy PEO-IWS’ combat systems, according to a company announcement released today.

Medvedev’s Military Deals in India

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrives in India Tuesday, the latest in a line of visiting global leaders seeking military and trade deals with the world’s second-fastest growing major economy.

Traditionally India’s default defence supplier, Russia now faces stiff competition from Europe and the United States as India diversifies its sources of military hardware and becomes more demanding over pricing and quality.
